Successful completion of an apprenticeship or traineeship
Your apprenticeship or traineeship is successfully completed when:
- you achieve all the competencies in your training plan
- your employer confirms with your registered training organisation (RTO) that you are competent in the workplace
- your RTO (for example, your TAFE or trade school) enters the information received from your employer into the apprenticeship database.
If you’re an apprentice, the Victorian Registration & Qualifications Authority(opens in a new window) will send you and your employer written confirmation once your apprenticeship is complete. You’ll need to keep this letter as your formal evidence of completion.
If you’re a trainee, your RTO will send you confirmation once your traineeship is complete, and they’ll also provide a certificate showing the qualification you’ve achieved.
